Drive With Confidence Using the TaylorMade RBZ Driver
Taylormade revives the RBZ™ brand with the new RBZ Black. In late 2011, Taylormade introduced the 1st generation RocketBallz™ woods. These were followed the next year by the RBZ Stage 2™, driver, fairway metal and hybird.
When you step up to the tee, you want to feel confident in the driver you have in your hand. The TaylorMade RBZ gives you that confidence with a driver that is designed to increase launch angle for greater distance while improving your accuracy off the tee. If you’re browsing eBay searching for a driver to help improve your golf game, the TaylorMade RBZ driver should be on your list of potential choices.
TaylorMade RBZ driver featuresThe RBZ has a 460cc head and uses a graphite shaft. Here are the standard specifications for the TaylorMade RBZ driver.
- Head – The head of the RBZ driver is a large titanium alloy with a lofted sleeve to enhance ball trajectory.
- Shaft – Standard 50-ounce/46-inch graphite shaft.
- Club Loft – You can select one of three different club loft choices, 9½-inch, 10½-inch, and 13-inch.
- Finish – Baked on satin black enamel finish for exquisite appearance and durability.
The RBZ RocketBallz is the successor to TaylorMade’s Superfast 2.0. There have been some important changes made to the TaylorMade RBZ driver.
- The head – TaylorMade has rounded the head of the RBZ driver just slightly. This helps you get correctly positioned behind the ball. The black and white face design of the TaylorMade RBZ driver makes it easier to align the ball.
- The shaft – TaylorMade took a full half an inch off the length of the shaft. At 46 inches, it still feels long enough in your hands. However, the shorter shaft makes the club feel more manageable to help improve accuracy.
- The face – TaylorMade improved their patented Speed Pocket performance face on the RBZ driver. This face will help increase the launch angle but reduce spin. The combination will heighten your ball’s trajectory off the tee, helping you improve your driving distance.

Since the shaft is a critical component in every golf club, both drivers and irons, TaylorMade focused on this important feature. To make sure you get the most out of every drive, they chose the graphite shaft by Fujikura. The Fujikura Fuel uses Fuel Rod Technology to increase the ball exit velocity, which helps add distance to every drive. You can select between a 50-, 60-, or 70-gram weight to get the feel you want.

- By Patch · PostedIt might just be me, but I have noticed this time of year, where different parts of country golfers start shutting down their games, prices seem go up. (seasonal colder weather) Less stuff being bought, drives the prices up. With golf being one of the more expensive sports to be involved in, this stands to reason. Golf vendors have bills too. Worst case scenario, Wal-Mart still has Nitro Balls for $5 a dozen. They play alright for alot of golfers.
- By tinker · PostedWilson balls are as good as anything out there and are priced right. It can’t cost much more to produce a pro v than any Wilson ball. They are just selling brand- name- itus.
- By tinker · PostedYour shafts, or clubs for that matter aren’t holding you back. In his prime Fred Couples used a ladies fairway wood. As a 25 year club builder I have found that a lot of golf course pros don’t really understand equipment as it relates to average players. They go by what the club reps tell them.
- By tinker · PostedThe course was green, soft, and no rough. Under those conditions the Old Course is a pushover. The problem is anybody in the tournament can bomb and gouge. Only the best are great shot makers. The pro golf tours have to figure out a way to put shot making back into the game and make every club in the bag relevant.
- By stealthhwk · PostedCorporate America (golf ball companies) want to see if we will all get together and pay more money for already pricey golf balls!!! Entry and mid level offerings seem to have inched up 2-3 dollars a dozen. Small increase I know, but this is how it starts. Many mid level 2 piece surlyn balls are now within a few dollars of cheapest urethane ones. That is until the golf companies read my post and then those shall rise a few bucks a dozen too and someone gets a bigger yacht! Support companies like Wilson and Lostgolfballs.com. Good companies turning a profit without robbing the rest of us blind, all while selling great performing products. Thanks to all for letting me vent end rant
